By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Description of Service

LanguageBank is a language learning application that helps users learn through AI-generated sentences and voice-based input. Our services include:

• AI-Powered Sentence Generation: Creating personalized sentences using artificial intelligence (GPT-4).

• Voice Recording & Transcription: Converting speech to text using OpenAI Whisper.

• Multi-Language Support: Supporting numerous languages including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and more.

• Personalized Learning: Tailored content based on profile information and user preferences.

• Progress Tracking: Organizing sentences into categories and maintaining learning history.

2. Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

Users must be at least 13 years old. If under 18, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms.

2.2 Account Creation

Accounts may be created using:

• Google Sign-In

• Apple Sign-In

• Email and password

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

2.3 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current information and update it as necessary.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

3.1 Subscription Plans

LanguageBank offers:

• Monthly subscription

• Yearly subscription

• Lifetime purchase

3.2 Free Trial

Some plans may include a free trial. When the trial ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled beforehand.

3.3 Payment Terms

• Payment Method: Charges occur through your Apple ID at purchase confirmation.

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless disabled at least 24 hours before renewal.

• Renewal Charges: Renewal charges occur within 24 hours before the end of the billing cycle.

• Price Changes: You will be notified of any changes and may cancel if desired.

3.4 Managing Subscriptions

Manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.

3.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create, including:

• Voice recordings

• Text inputs or transcripts

• Custom sentences and categories

4.2 License to Us

By using the App, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your content for providing and improving our services.

4.3 Content Responsibility

You agree not to submit content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or abusive

• Infringes intellectual property rights

• Contains malware or harmful code

• Violates applicable laws

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate laws or regulations

• Attempt unauthorized access

• Interfere with the App’s operation

• Use automated scraping or data extraction

• Reverse engineer or decompile the App

• Share account credentials

• Harass or harm other users

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

All App content, features, and design (excluding user content) are owned by LanguageBank.

6.2 Limited License

You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the App as outlined in these Terms.

6.3 Trademarks

“LanguageBank” and related branding are protected trademarks and may not be used without permission.

7. Third-Party Services

LanguageBank uses the following third-party integrations:

• Supabase for authentication and storage

• Google Sign-In for login

• OpenAI Whisper for transcription

• OpenAI GPT-4 for sentence generation

• Apple StoreKit for payments

Use of these services is subject to their individual policies.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 “As Is” Basis

The App is provided as is without warranties of any kind.

9.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

• Accurate or reliable results

• Correction of defects

• 100 percent accuracy of AI-generated content

9.3 Language Learning

The App is a supplementary tool. We do not guarantee fluency or complete translation accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LanguageBank is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Loss of profits or data

• Unauthorized access or breaches

• Service interruptions or data corruption

Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid to us within the last 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify LanguageBank and its team from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the App

• Violation of these Terms

• Infringement of third-party rights

12. Account Termination

12.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time. Data deletion is permanent.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.

12.3 After Termination

Your right to use the App ends immediately. Subscriptions must be cancelled via the App Store.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced in-App or by email. Continued use indicates acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

15. Dispute Resolution
